Sara Mar, MPH
Policy Communications Coordinator @Whitman-Walker Institute
Sara Mar, MPH (they/them), is the policy communications coordinator at Whitman-Walker Institute based in Washington, DC. Sara supports state and federal legislative efforts to protect access to gender-affirming care, with a particular focus on leveraging evidence-based messaging to combat misinformation. Whitman-Walker is a community health system serving the greater Washington, DC area with special expertise in serving the LGBTQ community and people living with HIV.
Mel DeSilva, MA
Communications Lead @Transhealth
Mel DeSilva, MA (they/them), is the communications lead for Transhealth in Massachusetts and the parent of a trans child. In this role, they oversee communications and marketing, assist with advocacy, and co-lead the Providing Affirming Care for Trans Youth (PACT) Coalition with Sara Mar from Whitman-Walker. Transhealth is an independent and comprehensive health care center in Massachusetts that supports and empowers trans and gender-diverse individuals and families.
Drew Cronyn, MD, FAAP
Pediatrician
Drew Cronyn, MD, FAAP (he/him), is a board-certified pediatrician with extensive experience and training in the care of transgender youth, adolescents, and young adults. Dr. Drew served the Tucson community for years before moving to Massachusetts in 2021 to join Transhealth as their first pediatrician.
Aleah Nesteby, FNP-BC, MSN
Family Nurse Practitioner @Transhealth
Aleah Nesteby, FNP-BC, MSN (she/her), is a family nurse practitioner at Transhealth in Massachusetts who has over 15 years of experience in transgender health. She teaches and trains nurse practitioners,, physician assistants, and medical students/residents, and serves as a peer consultant for Transline, a national resource for providers.
