I always appreciate Dr. Pati's perspective and connection between sci comm and medical education and treatment. Thank you.

Will you please give an example of how to use our "I am" statements to create common ground?

35:05
How do we communicate changing health care recommendations based on current evidence without the public feeling suspicious of such changes? For example things have changed in our recommendations for COVID-19 based on new evidence and understanding. But also true for many other issues.

35:54
My error on the Q&A - can you please post questions using the Q&A function rather than the chat? That way I can keep track of the one's asked and answered. Thanks!

39:39
Hi there. There have been some requests for the program link and articles. I will post to the chat in a moment.

39:44
As mentioned, we are planning a part 2 to this topic next month - 10/29 2-4PM. That 2 hour session will dive in deeper to this topic and provide strategies and tools for supporting educational efforts in this space.

As a medical librarian, it is part of my job to curate resources that will help students in both the academic and clinical setting. Do you have any suggestions for resources that would help students who are still determining best approaches to handling misinformation when encountered

51:26
Can you comment on the issue of pre-prints - e.g. the recent paper from Israel about “natural” immunity vs vaccination - a paper with lots of statistical issues (I’m not a statistician) that was sensationalized, including with a Harvard epidemiologist - and then we get flooded with queries.

Excellent links in the chat! How will they be accessible afterwards? There is no way to save the chat.

01:10:44
Yes, I'll be sharing these links in the follow-up email to attendees!
